Companies in the Dubai International Financial Centre and Abu Dhabi Global Market follow their own data protection laws, which are closer to the EU GDPR. Check which regime applies before you design consent and data flows.
VAT is 5%, and businesses must register once taxable supplies pass AED 375,000 in 12 months. Stores need VAT-inclusive pricing and tax invoices that meet Federal Tax Authority requirements.
Arabic is the official language, and government-facing projects and many consumer brands need a full Arabic version. That means a true right-to-left layout with mirrored navigation, Arabic SEO metadata and forms that accept Arabic input, not just translated text.
