Next.js Development

We build marketing sites, content-heavy sites and full web apps on Next.js with the App Router and React Server Components. Pages that rarely change are prerendered and cached at the edge, and pages that do change are revalidated when an editor hits publish, so nobody waits for a deploy. We also move older Create React App, Gatsby and WordPress sites onto Next.js without losing search traffic.

(01)Scope

What’s included.

Next.js builds that are fast on day one and easy to edit later

  • 01

    Server components

Data fetched on the server and only the interactive parts shipped as JavaScript, which keeps bundles small.

  • 02

    Caching per route

Static generation, incremental revalidation and Cache Components with use cache, chosen route by route rather than one rule for the whole site.

  • 03

    SEO built in

The Metadata API, generated sitemaps, Open Graph images, canonical tags and JSON-LD structured data on every template.

  • 04

    Headless CMS

Sanity, Contentful or Strapi set up with draft previews and on-demand revalidation, so published changes go live in seconds.

  • 05

    Edge delivery

Prerendered pages served from Vercel or Cloudflare’s global network, with Proxy handling redirects, locales and A/B tests.

  • 06

    Server Actions

Forms, mutations and route handlers kept in the same codebase, validated on the server and typed end to end.

(02)Use cases

What we build with it.

  • Marketing sites

Company and product sites on a headless CMS, with landing pages your marketing team can launch on its own.

  • Comparison and listings

Directory, listing and comparison sites with large page counts, such as Easy Insurance, the insurance comparison platform we built on Next.js and MySQL.

  • Apps with public pages

Products that need indexed public pages and a logged-in app in one deployment, sharing components and auth.

(03)Outcomes

What you get.

  • Fast first loads on phones
  • Content live without a redeploy
  • Search-friendly pages by default
  • One codebase for site and app
  • Hosting that scales with traffic

Every project includes

  • A dedicated project manager and one point of contact
  • Fixed, itemized quotes with no hidden fees
  • Weekly demos and a live staging link from week one
  • Code reviews, automated tests and manual QA
  • 30 days of free support after launch
  • NDA on request and full ownership of code and designs

(04)Process

How the project runs.

Clear milestones, weekly demos and a daily written update, so there are no surprises at the end.

  1. 01

    Rendering map

Every page type listed with how it renders, how often its content changes and how long it stays cached.

  2. 02

    Content model

CMS schemas designed with your editors, so the fields match how they actually write and publish.

  3. 03

    Build with previews

Each branch deploys to its own preview URL, and each week ends with a demo of working pages.

  4. 04

    Migrate and measure

Redirects and Search Console checks at launch, then Core Web Vitals measured on real traffic.

01How is a Next.js website or app priced?

Every Next.js project gets a fixed, itemized quote after a free 30-minute call. For marketing sites, the price depends mainly on the number of pages and whether you need a blog and CMS; for web apps, on the features your MVP needs. For ongoing work or team augmentation, our Next.js developers are also available by the hour, quoted to your needs.

02Why Next.js instead of plain React or Gatsby?

Next.js gives you server rendering, static generation and caching in one framework, which plain React does not. The React team deprecated Create React App in February 2025, and Gatsby now sees little active development, so for new public-facing sites Next.js is the safer long-term choice. We still use plain React for apps that live entirely behind a login.

03Can you migrate our site from Create React App, Gatsby or WordPress?

Yes. CRA and Gatsby projects usually move page by page, reusing most React components while data fetching moves into server components. WordPress sites can keep WordPress as a headless CMS or move their content to Sanity or Contentful. Either way, we map every URL and set 301 redirects so your rankings carry over.

04Can you move our Pages Router app to the App Router?

Yes. Both routers can run in the same project, so we move routes across in batches, starting with simple pages, and replace getServerSideProps and getStaticProps with server components and caching. Middleware is called Proxy from Next.js 16 onward, and we handle that and other breaking changes as part of the upgrade.

05Where will our Next.js site be hosted?

Vercel needs the least setup, so it is our usual recommendation. If you prefer, we deploy to Cloudflare, AWS or a Docker container on your own servers, including AWS’s Canadian regions if you want data kept in Canada. Either way, the hosting account is yours.
