Vue.js & Nuxt Development

We build Vue 3 apps with the Composition API, TypeScript and Pinia, and Nuxt sites that render on the server for search and speed. We also take on migrations: Vue 2 reached end of life on December 31, 2023, and plenty of production apps still run on it. We move those apps to Vue 3 in planned stages while your product keeps shipping.

(01)Scope

What’s included.

Vue 3 and Nuxt, from new builds to Vue 2 rescues

  • 01

    Composition API

Logic organized into composables with script setup and TypeScript, so features stay readable as components multiply.

  • 02

    Nuxt for SEO

Server rendering, static generation and hybrid route rules in Nuxt, with useSeoMeta and a sitemap covering every page.

  • 03

    Pinia stores

Typed Pinia stores replacing Vuex, split by feature rather than one giant module, with full devtools support.

  • 04

    Vue 3 migration

The migration build, codemods and a component-by-component plan, including replacements for Vue 2-only libraries.

  • 05

    UI libraries

Vuetify, PrimeVue or a custom Tailwind CSS component set, chosen to fit your design and accessibility needs.

  • 06

    Tested components

Vitest and Vue Test Utils for components, plus Cypress for the flows your users depend on.

(02)Use cases

What we build with it.

  • Vue 2 upgrades

Production apps still on Vue 2 and Vuex, moved to Vue 3 and Pinia without freezing feature work.

  • Nuxt content sites

Marketing and documentation sites with server rendering, a headless CMS and English and French routes.

  • Admin panels

Back-office apps for Laravel or Node.js backends, where Vue’s lighter footprint keeps the code simple.

(03)Outcomes

What you get.

  • Off an unsupported framework
  • Smaller, faster bundles
  • Typed stores and components
  • Nuxt pages that rank
  • A gentle learning curve for new hires

Every project includes

  • A dedicated project manager and one point of contact
  • Fixed, itemized quotes with no hidden fees
  • Weekly demos and a live staging link from week one
  • Code reviews, automated tests and manual QA
  • 30 days of free support after launch
  • NDA on request and full ownership of code and designs

(04)Process

How the project runs.

Clear milestones, weekly demos and a daily written update, so there are no surprises at the end.

  1. 01

    Dependency audit

For migrations, we list every package, plugin and filter that blocks Vue 3; for new apps, we scope routes and data.

  2. 02

    Batch plan

Components grouped into batches, with Options API code moved to composables where it pays off.

  3. 03

    Staged releases

Each batch ships behind the migration build or a feature flag, so production stays stable throughout.

  4. 04

    Clean-up and handover

Compatibility flags removed, tests passing and documentation updated for your team.

(05)Technology

Tools we use.

We choose proven tools for each project and explain every choice. No lock-in: you own the code, the accounts and the designs.

01How is Vue.js development priced?

Our Vue and Nuxt developers work by the hour or full-time, quoted to your needs. A Nuxt marketing site or a Vue web app MVP gets a fixed, itemized quote after a free 30-minute call, based on its pages, features and integrations. Vue 2 to Vue 3 migrations are quoted after a short audit, because the effort depends mostly on your dependencies.

02Is it worth migrating from Vue 2 to Vue 3?

Yes, if the app will be in use for more than another year. Vue 2 stopped receiving official updates, including security fixes, at the end of 2023, and newer libraries increasingly support only Vue 3. The move also brings better TypeScript support, the Composition API and faster builds with Vite.

03How long does a Vue 2 to Vue 3 migration take?

A small app with few dependencies can move in a few weeks. A large app with Vuetify 2, Vuex and custom plugins takes longer and is best done in stages. After the audit you get a fixed quote and a batch-by-batch schedule, and your team can keep shipping features throughout.

04Vue or React: which should we choose?

Both are solid choices. Vue suits teams that want a gentle learning curve, single-file components and official answers for routing and state, while React has the larger ecosystem and hiring pool. If you already have Vue code or a Laravel backend, staying with Vue is usually the sensible call.

05Should we use Nuxt or plain Vue?

Use Nuxt when pages must be indexed by search engines, load fast on the first visit or need server-side logic. Plain Vue with Vite is lighter and fine for dashboards and tools behind a login. Nuxt also gives you file-based routing and server API routes, which saves setup on content-heavy projects.
