Web engineering
NestJS gives a Node.js backend the structure of a mature framework: modules, dependency injection, guards and pipes, all in TypeScript. We use it for products with many features, many developers or both, where an unstructured Express app would turn into a tangle. We design the module boundaries, data layer and API surface so the codebase is still easy to change two years from now.
(01)Scope
NestJS backends built for large teams and long roadmaps
Features split into modules with clear public services, so teams work in parallel without stepping on each other.
Code-first GraphQL with Apollo, or REST controllers with generated OpenAPI docs, depending on who consumes the API.
Typed database access with migrations kept in version control, on PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Guards for JWT, sessions or SSO, plus role- and policy-based access checks that are easy to test.
NestJS transports over RabbitMQ or Redis when a module needs to scale or deploy on its own.
Dependency injection makes services easy to mock, so unit and end-to-end tests run fast in CI.
(02)Use cases
Multi-tenant APIs with billing, roles, audit logs and admin endpoints, organized as clear modules.
Growing Express codebases moved into NestJS module by module, reusing the business logic that already works.
One GraphQL API in front of several databases and services, serving both web and mobile clients.
(03)Outcomes
Every project includes
(04)Process
Clear milestones, weekly demos and a daily written update, so there are no surprises at the end.
We map your business domains to modules and decide which ones talk to each other, and how.
The database schema in Prisma or TypeORM, and the GraphQL schema or OpenAPI spec, agreed up front.
Each module ships with its own tests and is demoed on staging before the next one starts.
GitHub Actions pipelines, structured logs, health checks and tracing, ready for production traffic.
(05)Technology
We choose proven tools for each project and explain every choice. No lock-in: you own the code, the accounts and the designs.

Every project is quoted to your scope. After a free 30-minute call you get a fixed, itemized quote before any work begins.

NestJS developers are available by the hour or full-time, quoted to your needs. A focused API project, a web app MVP with a NestJS backend or a multi-tenant SaaS platform gets a fixed, itemized quote after a free 30-minute call. The price depends on the number of modules and integrations, and on how much tenancy and billing logic you need.
NestJS runs on Express by default, so you keep the same ecosystem, but it adds modules, dependency injection and decorators for validation and auth. That structure pays off once several developers work on the same backend. For a small service with a handful of endpoints, plain Express is simpler, and we will tell you so.
Yes. Because NestJS sits on top of Express, we can mount your existing routes inside a NestJS app and migrate them into modules one area at a time. The API stays live and its contract stays the same, so your web and mobile clients need no changes.
For new projects we usually choose Prisma for its readable schema, generated types and migration workflow. TypeORM fits teams that prefer decorators on entity classes or already have TypeORM code. Both work well with NestJS, and on an established codebase we follow the choice you already made.
It depends on your clients. GraphQL suits apps with many screens that each need a different slice of data, especially mobile apps. REST with OpenAPI is simpler to cache, monitor and hand to third parties. NestJS supports both well, and some APIs expose both.
